On 15 October 2026, LLC IQUSION IT held a client presentation on FinOps and cloud optimisation as part of IQusion Days. The session covered cloud-service expenditure, computing-resource utilisation and enterprise infrastructure. Software Ukraine’s report also highlights IQusion’s collaboration with SL Global Service on cloud projects. 01
The presentation addressed a familiar situation: an organisation expands its use of AWS, Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure without maintaining a complete view of consumption. Excess capacity, unused environments and storage configurations that no longer match requirements can remain in the budget.
FinOps as an ongoing management process
The approach brings technical, financial and management work together. Its purpose is to make spending understandable at department and project level, then regularly compare resource consumption with the needs of information systems.
The practical areas discussed included:
- allocating expenditure to teams, projects and systems;
- rightsizing configurations to match actual workloads;
- reviewing storage classes and data-archiving policies;
- automatic scaling and shutting down unused environments;
- budget limits, notifications and cost forecasting.
Financial results are assessed alongside service performance, reliability and availability.
Optimisation across cloud and on-premises environments
The presentation also considered hybrid infrastructure. Businesses need to determine where each system is best placed: in their own data centre, in a public cloud or across a combination of environments.
Possible measures include server consolidation, virtualisation, changes to storage architecture, automated administration and centralised monitoring. Resource decisions need to account for application requirements as well as the price of an individual service.
IQusion and SL Global Service working together
According to the source report, LLC IQUSION IT delivers cloud projects together with SL Global Service. The collaboration combines enterprise information-system expertise with experience in infrastructure design, implementation and ongoing support.
FinOps and cloud cost optimisation is one of SL Global Service’s areas of work. Its approach to Azure, AWS and Google Cloud includes consumption analysis, resource monitoring, configuration optimisation and budget control.
Relating cost to business requirements
The main objective is to align expenditure with the required performance, reliability and scalability. A transparent consumption model helps organisations plan IT budgets and understand which resources support actual business needs.
The presentation formed part of IQusion Days, LLC IQUSION IT’s recurring October programme dedicated to software product updates. This article is adapted from Software Ukraine.
